This week I'm moving away from my last two picks to something completely different. This week's T.V. Show of the Week is Russell Howard's Good News:
This is a show I've watched for a long time, I like my comedy shows, and found very enjoyable. Russell Howard is one of my favourite comedians, being the only one I've been to see live, due to his abstract comedy. This type of comedy is shown perfectly in Good News with a mixture of stand-up, clips and interviews about the news over the past week that appeals to many ages, although is definately not suitable for young children. Howard's comedy works so well because he engages the audience, both physically by talking to members of his studio audience and mentally as he deals with hot topics and doesn't shy away from controversial issues. Each epsiode is formulated perfectly but flows naturally with Howard's improvisation and canny personality. Good News began its 5th series on BBC Three last week and I am again hooked and waiting for the next episode.
